The E4 experimental area receives 2 x 100 TW laser beams, ultra-short
pulses, 60 mm full aperture diameter.
It accommodates a modular vacuum system with 2 chambers (HV + UHV) with
CF flanges and differential pumping, 5 turning boxes, 1 extension for
loose focus experiments, electron beamdump for LWFA experiments.
The vacuum chamber system is enclosed in a Soft-wall cleanroom (ISO 7
performance) of 60 m2, and it is operated and monitored from an
Integrated control system over internal secured Ethernet network and
high-speed fiber-optics connection with Users Room. 3 optical tables
with a total footprint over 7 m2 are available.
