E6

E6 Experimental Area

E6 experimental area is built to host up to 10 PW laser driven electron acceleration and QED studies, with a strong emphasis on laser wakefield acceleration methods on complex gas targets aimed at obtaining GeV electron beams optimized for charge, energy, and stable operation.
Such relativistic electron beams can then be collided with high electromagnetic fields resulted from up to 10 PW focused laser light in order to test extreme QED conditions.
