Technician (Electrical / Electronics)

    Scope of work:
    The ELI-NP Technicians will ensure the technical support for the equipment and the experiments during both the implementation and the operational phases of ELI-NP. In the operational phase, the technicians will participate to the update and upgrade of the experimental setups and to the development of new experimental setups in LGED.
    Main Responsabilities:
    • Acquiring the necessary knowledge and getting expertise for, installation, maintenance and monitoring the functioning of the equipment
    • Providing technical support for scientific and engineering activities, for the preparation and development of the experimental setups
    • Providing assistance and technical support during the operational phase in order to maintain the best performance of the ELI-NP systems and for further development
    • Main Tasks:
      • Installation, acceptance testing, maintenance, support and documentation of systems within LGED related to electronics, electrical power supply and electronic control of the scientific equipment
      • Providing technical support for scientific and engineering activities, specifically on the electric/electronics related aspects
      • Actively and efficiently communicating within the ELI-NP team to promote a harmonious collaboration framework
      • Participation to drafting technical documents and reports
      • Preparation/update of parts/equipment databases
      • Preparation of procurement documentation and follow-up of procurement procedures
      Professional background:
      • High-school graduation diploma
      • Post high-school technical training or University courses in one of the fields: electronics, electrical works and maintenance
      • Hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas: construction and/or maintenance of electronics systems, assembly and/or maintenance of electrical systems
      • Fluency in English
      • Proven teamwork experience, communication and efficient collaboration skills;
      • Availability to travel and perform work and training stages abroad
      Working arrangements/Conditions of employment:
      • Full time position, based in Bucharest - Magurele, Romania .

      • The candidate should be available to travel abroad for scientific collaboration at various research infrastructures, for part of their time.
