The successful candidate will become a member of the operation, maintenance and development team of the Variable Energy Gamma-ray System (VEGA) and he/she will collaborate with the other technical teams of ELI-NP
During the implementation phase of the VEGA System, the successful candidate will be involved in the testing and commissioning of the electron system associated with the VEGA system
During the operation phase the successful candidate will participate in the operation, maintenance and development of the electronic systems of the VEGA system
Main Responsabilities:
In the implementation phase:
The successful candidate will gather the knowledge and experience necessary to ensure the operation of the VEGA system and of the related electronic equipment. In this context, he/she will benefit from the training provided by the suppliers of the equipment regarding the assembling, testing and commissioning of the equipment
The successful candidate will ensure efficient collaboration and dialogue between the implementation team and the suppliers of the respective equipment
In the operational phase:
Maintaining the performances of the ELI-NP equipment and systems to the desired level
Actively participating in the technological development activities performed at ELI-NP
Providing the technical support for the experiments
Main Tasks:
Acquiring the knowledge and experience necessary to ensure the proper operation of the VEGA electronic systems
Providing technical support for scientific and engineering activities during the implementation of experimental setups that use VEGA system
Participation to the installation of electronic equipment and devices related to the VEGA system
Producing operational procedures and technical specifications for electronic systems and components
Operation and Maintenance of the electronic systems related to the VEGA system
Contribution to the organization and scheduling of the preventive and corrective maintenance of the electronics equipment
Collaboration with other technical teams at ELI-NP
Professional background:
University Degree (Electronics, Automation, Computer Science)
2-5 years of experience in industrial electronic technologies and applications
Very good, hands on experience with electronic hardware
2-5 years of experience with electronic test instruments
Self-motivation to gather new knowledge in the electronics field in order to be able to troubleshoot and maintain complex electronic equipment
Knowledge sharing in order to increase technical skills of colleagues involved in implementation and operations activities
Ability to work independently
Self-efficient and organized in prioritizing tasks and projects
Fluency in English and good interpersonal skills
Working arrangements/Conditions of employment:
Full time position, based in Bucharest - Magurele, Romania .
Included: private medical coverage, paid annual leave.

The candidate should be available to travel abroad for scientific collaboration at various research infrastructures,
for part of their time.
