Laser System Department

    Scope of work:
  • The ELI-NP Laser System Department (LSD) Technician will ensure the technical support for the equipment, in particular for HPLS and optics lab equipment, and for the experiments during both the implementation and the operational phases of ELI-NP
  • Main Responsabilities:
    • Acquiring the necessary knowledge and getting sufficient expertise form monitoring the functioning of the installation and of the equipment. In this context, some of the Technicians will benefit from training at the equipment suppliers regarding the assembling, testing and commissioning of the equipment. Therefore, these candidates should be available to travel and work abroad for a definite period of time
    • Providing technical support for scientific and engineering activities
    • Providing technical support for intermediate and final delivery-taking stages
    • Providing the technical support for the preparation and development of the experimental setups
    • Providing assistance and technical support during the operational phase to maintain the best performance of the ELI-NP systems
    • Main Tasks:
        Professional background:
        • Providing technical support during installation and commissioning of the equipment, in particular HPLS and optics lab; in the operational phase, participation to Infrastructure operation and maintenance
        • Participating to the preparation of technical documents and reports
        • Providing technical assistance for the activity of researchers and engineers
        • Performing specific technical tasks as well as the installation of equipment and components related to experiments and auxiliary laboratories
        • Actively and efficiently communication within the ELI-NP team and promoting a harmonious collaboration framework
        Working arrangements/Conditions of employment:
        • Full time position, based in Bucharest - Magurele, Romania .

        • The candidate should be available to travel abroad for scientific collaboration at various research infrastructures, for part of their time.
