The technician will ensure technical support for equipment and for experiments at the 10 PW Experimental Area E5 (Materials in Extreme Environments), during the implementation and the operational phases of ELI-NP
Installs vacuum components, experimental setups and instrumentation
Operates vacuum systems
Handles focusing optics and target systems inside interaction chamber
Maintains clean room of interaction chamber
Operates cranes, including the removable crane inside interaction chamber
Provides general technical support for scientific and engineering activities
Participates to the preparation of technical documents
High-school graduation diploma
Training and/or experience in the construction and maintenance of high-precision mechanical systems, optomechanical systems or vacuum
Spoken and written English; fluency is highly desirable
Teamwork experience, communication and efficient collaboration skills
Working arrangements/Conditions of employment:
Full time position, based in Bucharest - Magurele, Romania .

The candidate should be available to travel abroad for scientific collaboration at various research infrastructures,
for part of their time.
