    Scope of work:
    Post-doctoral research assistants will ensure part of the scientific expertise needed to prepare the ELI-NP experiments. Post-doctoral research assistants will pursue their activity in the working groups led by Research Scientists. Personal initiative concerning scientific research will be also encouraged
    Main Responsabilities:
    Main Tasks:
    • Simulations of laser-plasma interaction in the regimes of interest for ELI-NP
    • Participating in the work at Laser Driven Experiments Department (LDED) during the implementation and commissioning phase of ELI-NP, under the supervision of Research Scientists
    • Providing support for the preparation of the technical documents for the acceptance of Project's deliverables
    • Participating and contributing to scientific meetings and conferences
    • Actively and efficiently involving in the dialog and communication within the ELI-NP team and promoting a harmonious collaboration framework.
    Professional background:
    • PhD degree in a field relevant to the theoretical aspects of Laser Driven Experiments Department (LDED) research, as described at
    • Background in computational physics with Particle-in-cell and/or hydrodynamic codes, a plus
    • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
    • Proven teamwork experience, communication and efficient collaboration skills
    • Good publication record
    • Good references in research

    Working arrangements/Conditions of employment:
    • Full time position, based in Bucharest - Magurele, Romania, for a period 1 (one) year with the possibility of extension. .

    • The candidate should be available to travel abroad for scientific collaboration at various research infrastructures, for part of their time.
