    Scope of work:
  • Participation in the preparation of the research infrastructure for the GDED experiments
  • Participation in the conduct of experiments and measurements carried out within the ELI-NP
  • Providing technical support for the scientific and engineering activities of GDED
  • Continuous development in fields relevant to ELI-NP activity
  • Participation in GDED technical equipment commissioning activities
  • Main Responsabilities:
  • Participating to the design and construction of the experimental setups, market research and writing specification for equipment purchase, communication with companies, installing, testing and commissioning of the equipment
  • Gathering the knowledge and provide the expertise necessary to ensure the operation of the infrastructure and of the related equipment
  • Ensuring the best and efficient collaboration and dialogue between the research staff and the equipment suppliers and services providers
  • Ensuring the conformity of the activities with the standards in the field
  • Main Tasks:
    • Ensuring technical support during the installation and commissioning of equipment related to GDED experimental assemblies
    • Carrying out specific technical activities for the preparation of future experiments carried out with the help of GDED experimental assemblies
    • Participation in the preparation of technical documentation and various reports required by GDED
    • Participation in the operation and maintenance activities of GDED's technical equipment
    • Providing technical support for the activities of GDED engineers and researchers
    • Participates in meetings and scientific events of ELI-NP at the request of the Head of GDED
    • Improve professionally in the research fields of ELI-NP on the assigned sub-systems
    • Participates in the specific activities assigned by the Head of GDED or the person nominated by him for the coordination of operating activities in GDED
    • Participates in professional development programs both in the country and abroad
    Professional background:
    • Bachelor degree in Physics or Engineering Automatics/Electronics/Electrical or related field
    • Excellent academic performance
    • High ability to learn and understand project's equipment and technologies
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Adapting quickly and resourcefully to shifting priorities and requirements
    • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
    • Goal-oriented attitude
    • Willingness to continuously improve and develop new skills
    • Proven teamwork experience, communication and efficient collaboration skills
    • Availability to travel and perform work stages abroad.
    Working arrangements/Conditions of employment:
    • Full time position, based in Bucharest - Magurele, Romania .
    • Included: private medical coverage, paid annual leave.
    • Motivating salary, at European level, based on qualifications and experience.
    • The candidate should be available to travel abroad for scientific collaboration at various research infrastructures, for part of their time.
