The Electronics/Electric Design Engineer will work in the Technical Division, in the Design Office, and will collaborate with the technical and experimental teams at ELI-NP to develop electronic and electric circuits necessary in the period of implementation and operation/development of the experimental systems or the large equipment
The Electronics/Electric Design Engineer will use his/her design and simulation competences to conceive electronic and electric circuits necessary to develop new experimental systems or to improve the existing ones. The engineer will identify the production possibilities of the designed circuits and will follow up their process of production and implementation
Main Responsabilities:
Main Tasks:
In the Technical Division of the ELI-NP research infrastructure the Electronics/Electric Design Engineer will have the following duties:
will design the power supplies or command and control circuits necessary at ELI-NP, for the laser, gamma or related experimental systems
will establish the manufacturing/implementation strategy and will identify the internal or external manufacturing possibilities necessary to get to the finished product in the most cost-effective manner
will follow up the manufacturing/implementation process of the electric and electronic installations and circuits
will take part in the quality control process for the execution of circuits or circuit assemblies
will provide the technical support necessary for the teams implementing or manufacturing the electric or electronic circuits
will keep clear records of executed projects and a history of changes made to the projects they carry out
will write the required technical documentation and the needs of materials to launch the circuits or the assemblies into production
will write the documentation necessary for the assembling process of the electric and electronic systems to be implemented
will simulate by means of specialised software the behaviour of circuits and the accuracy of their operation, complying with the beneficiaries' requirements
will take part in the public procurement procedures, in all their stages (writing technical specifications, evaluation procedure and contract performance, as applicable)
will attend professional training courses for gaining new knowledge in electric and electronic system design
Professional background:
Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in electrical engineering, electronics or automation engineering
Experience in managing electronics production processes
Relevant experience in electronics projects: projects including control engineering, electronic circuit design, and simulations of their operation
Technical competence in several of the following fields: analogic and digital electronics, measurement and control techniques for electronic circuits, control loops, microcontrollers, PLC, pulsed or continuous high voltage supply sources, electronic signal processing
Basic knowledge of computer operation and text editing programmes, good knowledge of programming and design software for electronic circuits
Ability to set priorities and plan tasks with results in mind
Ability to adapt quickly and resourcefully to shifting priorities and requirements
Fluent in English
Proven teamwork experience and efficient communication and collaboration skills.
Working arrangements/Conditions of employment:
Full time position, based in Bucharest - Magurele, Romania .
