The new ambassador of Switzerland in Romania, His Excellency Arthur Mattli visited on Tuesday, February, 25, 2020, the Extreme Light Infrastructure - Nuclear Physics (ELI-NP) Centre. Acad. Nicolae-Victor Zamfir, Director General of the "Horia Hulubei" National Institute of Physics and Nuclear Engineering (IFIN-HH) and Director of the ELI-NP Center, presented the main research activities and the possibilities of cooperation with scientific research entities from Switzerland.
During the visit, Mr. Ambassador discussed with researchers about the first scientific experiments scheduled for Day 1, about the unique experience of the IFIN HH team in decommissioning a nuclear research reactor and about the ways to do technological transfers to industry.Switzerland is interested in being able to support concrete research projects that have an impact on industry and education through the Swiss-Romanian Cooperation Program.
