We celebrated on October 24 - October 25, 2023, at the IFIN-HH/ELI-NP Conference Center in Magurele, 10 - years from the start of the project of the world premiere operation of the 2 x 10 PW system of High Power Lasers at full power, thus marking a historic moment in plasma physics by organizing the International Symposium on the Celebration of 10 Years with ELI-NP - 10 PW on Target, an event celebrated by both the Extreme Light Infrastructure - Nuclear Physics and the company Thales LAS France. At this event, we had the honor to have with us the Laureate of the 2018 Nobel Prize in Physics, Professor Gerard Mourou, the visionary scientist who paved the way for the realization of high-power lasers, initiator of the pan-European Research Infrastructure the Extreme Light Infrastructure project and the one who foreshadowed and supported the creation of the Extreme Light Infrastructure - Nuclear Physics Center, opening, through the use of high-power lasers, a new perspective in the development of Nuclear Photonics. The High Power Laser System is an exceptional achievement devised by Thales LAS France for the Extreme Light Infrastructure - Nuclear Physics, recommending ELI-NP as a world-class scientific research infrastructure and the continuation of the successful partnership between ELI-NP and Thales LAS France, ensuring the privilege of maintaining this status. His Excellency, Mr. Nicolas Warnery, the French Ambassador to Romania, attended the closing of the event, addressing a message to the participants of the Symposium, congratulating Extreme Light Infrastructure - Nuclear Physics and Thales LAS France for the remarkable achievements, and ensuring the support of the French Embassy for the future.
