The International Scientific Advisory Board (ISAB) is a group of international experts which evaluates and monitors the ELI-NP project and offers counseling regarding the organization and promotion of research in specific fields.
The ISAB provides to the Management Board objective independent advice on the development of the project, scientific strategy and translational activities. Professor Gérard Mourou, Nobel Prize Winner in Physics (2018),
is an acting member of the ELI-NP ISAB and an active collaborator of the ELI-NP research team for the preparation of the Day 1 experiments.
ELI-NP hosted the first ISAB meeting in Romania on 4 and 5 December 2017.
