The Beam Profile Monitor (BPM) system was delivered for the ELI-GBS electron linear accelerator in May 2026, marking a successful contract with Instrumentation Technologies of Slovenia. I-Tech developed the electronics and system accessories, while partnering with Bevatech of Germany to design and produce the button-type BPM pickups.
Gamma System Department staff started installing the BPM pickups in the designated positions along the LINAC. Each BPM pickup must be positioned and aligned with micrometric accuracy within the quadrupole assemblies, a task that requires the collaboration of vacuum, magnet, and mechanical teams in GSD. Assembly work is nearing completion as of June 12, followed by a rigorous phase of hardware testing and commissioning.
