Dedicated to Call 7, ELI is organising a series of webinars to provide detailed insights into the unique equipment available in this call and offer direct opportunities to engage with instrument scientists. Participants will be able to ask questions and receive guidance on preparing and submitting their proposals. Webinar Update
The webinars are open to all prospective users preparing a proposal for Call 7. Researchers are strongly encouraged to take advantage of these sessions to ensure alignment with facility capabilities and to maximise the potential of their submissions.
The Extreme Light Infrastructure (ELI) is pleased to announce the opening of the 7th ELI User Call, with proposals accepted until 29 October 2025, 12:00 (noon) CET. Researchers worldwide are invited to submit their proposals for experiments to access ELI's state-of-the-art instruments and equipment. Proposals will be evaluated by an international peer review panel with an emphasis on scientific excellence. The Call offers access to a wide range of cutting-edge instruments and capabilities at the ELI ALPS (Szeged, Hungary), ELI Beamlines (Dolni Brezany, Czech Republic), and ELI Nuclear Physics (Magurele, Romania) Facilities.
Offer Highlights
- High Field Petawatt (HF PW) laser is available to users for the first time, delivering ultrashort, high-power pulses across three dedicated beamlines for experiments ranging from attosecond pulse generation to electron acceleration and strong-field physics.
- 1 PW E7 experimental area is designed for research combining laser and gamma beams to study nuclear and plasma physics, as well as astrophysical phenomena.
- HHG-MAC station provides coherent VUV/XUV pulses from a high-repetition-rate laser system and enabling investigations into source development.
The complete offer of available equipment and experimental opportunities is available on the ELI User Portal, along with comprehensive guidelines for the submission and evaluation of proposals. Applicants are strongly encouraged to discuss their concepts with instrument scientists early in the process to ensure alignment with facility capabilities. Proposal Submission Deadline: 29 October 2025, 12:00 (noon) CET. [ More Details... ]
