The Romanian Government has increased the budget of the Ministry of Education and Research to continue the strategic project "Laserul de la Magurele" by completing the intense gamma beam system, and has adopted measures for the National Authority for Research to manage international cooperation programs and scientific infrastructure. The ELI-NP project, equipped with the most powerful laser in the world, will be completed by December 2026, with investments targeting important applications in medicine and industry.
