Four high-power RF (Radio Frequency) stations were successfully commissioned for the ELI-GBS LINAC by ScandiNova of Sweden during June-December 2025. Modulator-klystron assemblies provide high power RF to the S-band accelerator cavities to ensure electron beam acceleration up to 800 MeV.
During 16 to 18 of December 2025, ScandiNova provided modulator training to 8 ELI-NP staff engineers and technicians. The training focused on operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting the K-series modulators combining theoretical and hands-on sessions.
